Qui sommes-nous

"OFFICINA DELLA PELLE" was born in Lucca in 2010, from an idea of the Capuozzo family, transforming and expanding a business started 50 years earlier by a young Antonio Capuozzo. In those years Antonio, specialised in leather working, became a skilled craftsman in the field of artistic bookbinding and earned the trust of Naples' most renowned antiquarian libraries as well as the prestigious National Library, for which he became an external collaborator.

Over time, his children also learned the techniques and secrets of the trade, always keeping intact Antonio's philosophy: every single item must be crafted with the utmost care for detail.

As his children joined the workshop full time, the product range expanded into leather goods, with the production of high-quality bags and belts.

The need to reach a wider audience with their products grew accordingly. The public's enthusiastic response encouraged the craftsmen to expand their catalogue, designing and producing new items, all rigorously made of top-quality leather. In 2004 the family moved to Lucca, where Antonio and his children Salvatore, Mario and Annamaria created dozens of different items using the finest leathers from some of Tuscany's most important tanneries.

Over the years "OFFICINA DELLA PELLE" engaged with international buyers and built up its experience selling directly in countries such as the USA, Japan, Sweden, Germany and Australia. In 2008, with the opening of the via della Fratta 29 premises.
